Obviously he needs the DEF buff for his skill, but with HP subsets then you get the boost for his passive upon his death. Being placed 2nd gives the advantage of taking out an enemy early bit with a good front line, like Ramagos, you can utilize his Stun longer. Hope this is helpful.
